DONATIONS

Inspired by the generosity of Adil Zulfikarpašić, many citizens decided to donate their valuable family collections to the Bosniak Institute. Through these selfless donations, the library has been enriched with more than 30,000 library units, including legacies and other collections. Thanks to these valuable gifts, donors have made it possible for numerous researchers, students, professors, and other library users to acquaint themselves with the works of great thinkers and scholars, and to discover the richness of knowledge and creativity.

Some of the most significant donations are the personal libraries of Mr. Alija Širbegović, Prof. Dr. Muhsin Rizvić, Dr. Smail Balić, Prof. Dr. Iljas Hadžibegović, Dr. Halid Čaušević, Dr. Drago Borovčanin, Dr. Smail Tihić, Enes Čengić, Hifzija Suljkić, Alija Karamehmedović, Ibrahim Rešidkadić, Derviš Kurtović, Enes Baš, Šefket Arslanagić, Halid Kuburović, Advan Hozić, Emin and Alma Granov, Osman Topčagić, Nermina Kurspahić, Kemal Zukić, and many others.

In addition to these legacies, the library has also received numerous books by Bosnian-Herzegovinian and foreign authors, as well as other individuals who personally donated some of the most important works of Bosnian-Herzegovinian science and culture — unique pieces for which we are especially grateful.
